Minimum Aberration Split-Plot Designs When the Whole Plot and Subplot Factors Do Not Have the Same Importance

چکیده

In practical factorial experiments, we sometimes find that complete randomization of the order runs is infeasible because it more difficult to change levels some factors than others, especially in engineering experiments. Then, fractional split-plot (FFSP) designs represent a option such situations. The difficult-to-change are called whole plots (WP) factors, and other subplot (SP) factors. WP SP do not have same importance many popular minimum aberration criterion suitable any for choosing FFSP designs. This paper proposes two criteria selecting Algorithms constructing optimal under proposed. Some tabulated.

Minimum Setup Minimum Aberration Two-level Split-plot Type Designs for Physical Prototype Testing

Companies always seek strategies to shorten product development and reduce time-to-market. Although new technologies allow for less effort in prototyping, physical testing still remains an important step in the product development cycle. Well-planned experiments are useful to guide the decision-making process. During the design of an experiment one of the challenges is to balance limited resour...

Fractional Factorial Split-Plot Designs with Minimum Aberration and Maximum Estimation Capacity

Considering general prime or prime powered factorials, we give a nite projective geometric formulation for regular fractional factorial split-plot designs. This provides a uniied framework for such designs and facilitates their systematic study under the criteria of minimum aberration and minimum secondary aberration; the latter criterion is introduced to achieve ner discrimination. We investig...

On the Analysis of Balanced Two-Level Factorial Whole-Plot Saturated Split-Plot Designs

This paper considers an experimentation strategy when resource constraints permit only a single design replicate per time interval, and one or more design variables are hard-to-change. The experimental designs considered are two-level full or fractional factorial designs run as balanced split-plots. These designs are common in practice and appropriate for fitting a main effects plus interaction...

Maximal Rank - Minimum Aberration Regular Two-Level Split-Plot Fractional Factorial Designs

Regular two-level fractional factorial designs are often used in industrial experiments as screening experiments. When some factors have levels which are hard or expensive to change, restrictions are often placed on the order in which runs can be performed, resulting in a split-plot factorial design. In these cases, the hard or expensive to change factors are applied to whole plots, whereas the...
